Training expectiations

  1. Be ready - at the start time of your training you should be ready to start. Hair tied back, jewellery removed, phones away.

  2. No phones to be used during training. They should be put away in a bag, coat or left face down on the bench.

  3. All jewellery should be removed. If you are wearing jewellery you may be asked to sit out of training until it is removed. If you want to wear an activity tracker it should be under a sweatband or in your sports bra.

  4. Attendance – ideally you would be at training every week but I understand this isn’t always possible. I am going to give teams the option to agree amongst themselves when they train... then let me know so I can cater sessions appropriately and give each team the attention they deserve. Teams will be selected based on commitment and effort at training.

  5. Give full effort at all points at training. If you’re not, you may be asked to sit out to give those who are more chance, this will include during match play.

  6. If behaviour at training is not in accordance with our values and expectations/England Netball guidance, you may be asked to sit out. For U18’s, this could include contact home to parents/carers.

  7. Show respect to the coaches at all times.

  8. Please ensure you attend the correct training times. Sessions are designed for the named teams and these teams will get priority during match play.

  9. For those under the age of 18, you will not be considered under our duty of care until you sign in with the coach. Once you leave the facility, you are no longer under the care of the club. Your parent/carer must sign a form to allow you to attend/leave training alone. More information here.

  10. Have fun and be proud to be PGNC!

These expectations are set to ensure we ae pushing every player to achieve their best at Palmers Green and creating a respectful and safe environment.
